Just be consistent how hard is that. I think it all should be in general unless its str8 hard core politics. But you wanna ***** and cuss about Glenn beck but you let other threads go. Be consistent. Its not like your making life or death decisions. This forum did fine without the sub forums and the 6+ mos waiting list to even get in one.

You're not a child are you? I thought I was speaking to an adult, and it would be OK to use adult language, and keep it at an absolute minimum, especially if it's not on open board, but in PM's which are unmoderated. You used a curse word or two as well...but you don't see me freaking out about that.

You have to moderate on a case by case basis--SBG understands this and has moderated/does moderate elsewhere. If you were a mod anywhere, you'd understand the judgement calls involved. I think in both cases, I was pretty fair. And I've not seen someone post otherwise. Before you judge what I'm doing and how I'm doing it, put yourself in my shoes.

In PM's that are unmoderated and between two (alleged) adults...I don't see a problem with a cuss word or two. The "blue he||" thing wasn't "cussing you", it was more exclamatory to show how incredulous I was that you posted that Glenn Beck thread on the Non Sports board. It's not like I told you to go to hades. Also, the "pi$$ed" I used in one PM was not cussing you at all--it was describing how I didn't want other posters to be once the Glenn Beck thread got them into a major political discussion on the Non-Sports board.

I think we hear 100000x worse at the basketball courts and football/baseball fields during LPD games in the crowd.

I didn't do anything to you personally. You're acting like a indignant martyr for nothing. I think we're done here, but if you want to go on embarrassing yourself, be my guest.

Right--b/c we have a language filter. That I set up. Not that this little piece of information makes a difference to you.

Also notice that PM's are unmoderated, and people can say what they want. I only spelled what what I said in PM's on here b/c I KNEW they'd be edited b/c I set up the daggone filter! And you claimed I cussed you SO BAD...so I went around the filter to let everyone know what I said that was so terrible to cause you so much anguish and that makes me such a bad person.

I'll let others figure out what to think for themselves. I'm not worried about it. If you want to continue hand-wringing over it, go ahead, but it's silly of you to do and I'm done with it.

Where did I say we were children? Way to avoid the question and make up something. That's great. I have modded and its not as hard as you would like to make it out. Speaking of making ones self out to be a martyr. If i decided to move a thread it would move it and just be like hey man I thought your thread may turn political so I move it just to be on the safe side. Or something like that. It would not have upset me so bad I had to ask them why the hell they posted so and so. If it bothered me that bad I would take some time off.

I'm glad you finally cleared up the fact that you think it's OK to cuss a poster if it's only a few words.

I love how you say you didn't cuss but you setup the filter that filters out some of the words you used. Your **** right I cussed back. You cuss me that's gonna happen. Don't see me beating around the bush and making post after post of denying it and trying to use big words to make me feel smart.

This thread is one of the reasons why people have left. It gets turned into bickering ****ing contests quite often like Rocky said. I love an internet flame war as much as anybody, but we need to be able to have cordial, intelligent discussions as well as flame wars but now we are lacking any intelligent discussion reallly, especially on the sports side.

I said I would never post here again but if the format/host is changed I would definately be back. I still come here to read but never post. I guess this is my first post since December. Have lost a lot of family members the past year and my nerves have been hell thus the ****ing contests Rocky mentioned here have not helped.

When I think about the black and green board, I can't help but smile. I would love for the forum to be like that again. Hostboard is mostly at fault for this. As much as I hate to say it, part of it I believe has to do with the district not being as strong as it once was in the big three sports, particularly football. Hopefully that will change if they do combine the schools.
I'd hate to see the board die, or not be renewed, especially since I don't live in Wise anymore. I still talk to people at home, but most of my close friends from high school don't live there either. And it's great to get a different perspective from everyone who contributes here.

when you left i pretty much took off too. Just came back a few weeks ago.
